About Democrats United
On July 10, 2003, a group of concerned Democrats met to voice their concerns regarding the disappearance of the Democratic Party in the North East Texas area. They believed that Democrats in the area had been intimidated into silence for too long and that the issues were more important than ever. The initial group came together to demonstrate that Democrats have a voice and that they care deeply about what goes on in the local community, in Texas, and in the country. They sought the participation of other Democrats in reestablishing the Democratic Party in the area.
Various activities throughout the year are announced at the meetings, on the website, and by email. Join Democrats United and do your part to help take East Texas back for the people.
