East Texas Democratic Rally
August 28, 3–9 p.m., Longview Exhibition Hall

"Most successful rally in East Texas I can remember," says retired judge Parker Crawford.

An old-fashioned Democratic political rally with live music and political speakers, both office holders and candidates. In attendance were Democrats from all over Texas. The emcee was a professional stand-up comedian who appears in comedy clubs all over the country. A California chef prepared the dinner. And the Pine Tree High School Young Democrats enthusiastically helped out.
